Dr. Raymond A. Semente graduated Chiropractic College in 1983. He received a graduate teaching fellowship in Clinical Anatomy and graduated with high honors, as a member of the Chi Phi Omega honor society for graduates with over a 3.7 GPA. He as co-published in the JACA in 1983, “The Effects of Chiropractic Manipulative Therapy on Arthritis and Degenerative Disease”. His certifications include: Manipulation Under Anesthesia, which he performs currently at 2 Surgery Centers in New York and he is a certified in Electrodiagnosis, with part of his certification requiring externship, he served at Stony Brook Medical School. He has practiced Non-surgical Spinal Decompression since 2007, helping patients avoid unnecessary surgical intervention for degenerative disc and bulging/herniation disc pathologies, resulting from boney misalignment (Subluxation) and trauma.
Advanced therapeutic interventions such as Class III (2 on site) and Class IV, requiring advanced certification are on site to alleviate pain and help heal disc pathology, created by progressive vertebral misalignment (Subluxation), from degenerative conditions, trauma from Motor-Vehicle Accidents or Work related Injury, congenital abnormalities resulting in spinal pain. Dr. Semente’s office includes Digital x-ray, one of the first chiropractic offices to provide such services, so that patient can, as they do in other advanced x-ray facilities, be provided with x-ray digital images on a disc format to share with other health providers.
Dr. Semente is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, completing this program in 2018. His office also provides Massage Therapy, Vascular Evaluation, Podiatric Treatment, Acupuncture and Trigger Point therapy, as necessary to control pain and correct muscle and joint abnormalities. Dr. Semente works closely with many Medical Specialists for a team-oriented approach to patient management, as combination treatments can, depending on on the patient, provide greater outcomes.
Dr. Semente graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology and Biochemistry from Stony Brook in 1979 and his internship was served at Greenvale Clinic from 1982-1983.
